IN response to a growing industry need, RACE, in conjunction with Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) and the Irish Racehorse Trainers Association, has created a Foundation Course for Grooms and Exercise Riders. Applications are now being accepted for this six-to-eight week course, which is being supported as part of HRI’s ongoing commitment to industry-wide education and training.

There are just 12 places on the practical programme which will focus on stable management and riding skills as well as an industry induction. All participants will be placed in full-time employment with a licenced trainer upon completion.
