SATURDAY’s feature class, the Ulster Grand Prix, was won in style by Emily Turkington and her mount Jay Gatsby (Gatsby - Loughries Quiet Man) after the duo posted a second round time of 39.09secs in the 1.35m class. There were 25 starters with just six making it into the jump-off.

Nicole Kershaw riding Keonan Stables eight-year-old Clovalent (Valent - Cruising) took the runner-up spot, breaking the finish beam in 40.07.Coachella was guided into third by Catherine Thornton stopping the clock at 42.17. Junior Alex Finney and Absolutely Kingmar Z were fourth with a double-clear round in 42.76, while Kenneth Graham and the eight-year-old Tullabeg Jackson (Dignified Van’t Zorgvliet - Olympic Lux) took fifth in 43.99.

Young rider Eve Donnelly riding Crystal Tom completed the line up in sixth place with the only other double-clear round.
