THE dream of owning and competing a talented young show jumping horse is now right within your grasp with the exciting announcement of Breen Equestrian's inaugural Auction of talented young show jumpers at Hickstead later this month.

A select collection of five, six, and seven-year-olds will be auctioned at Hickstead on Wednesday, August 31st 2022.

Uniquely, buyers will have the opportunity to jump their new horse(s) right away as Hickstead's two-week September Show kicks off immediately afterwards.

Five-year-olds

BE Coolham, a bay mare, Cuick Star Kervec x Zarnita. This flashy five-year-old hails from a real performance family, with two 1.60m (SJ) performers as her sire and dam.

BE Coolham has it all and is a stunning, flashy mare, gifted with fantastic movement and scope to burn. She has proven herself to be careful and competitive in the ring and would be a fantastic addition to any string. A half-sister to the talented seven-year-old BE Golden and the six-year-old BE Stakkato, her well-related family showcase the potential this mare has in spades. Her sire, Cuick Star Kervec, is an incredible athlete who needs little introduction having been showcased over the big tracks on the ultra-competitive Global Champions Tour circuit. BE Coolham is out of the 1.60 mare Zarnita, the future is certainly bright for this rising star!

BE Top-Sekret, a grey gelding, Cornet Obolensky x Trish. This stunning five-year-old is by the legendary performer and sire Cornet Obolensky. BE Top-Sekret is a talented young horse who has a lovely temperament. He has fast become one of the yard’s favourites at Hickstead and one to watch in the ring. Not only does he show all the qualities you would look for in any showjumper, but he is by one of the legendary stallions in show jumping – Cornet Obolensky. BE TopSekret shares bloodlines with 1.60m (SJ) performer Dolce Vita de Longines and the up-and-coming stallion Lake Tahou.

Rivell PS, a dark bay gelding by Vigo D’Arsouilles x Little Quin. This competitive five-year-old gelding just has scope to burn. Rivell PS is a young gelding who has all the potential to be a top jumping horse. Rivell PS has already proven himself in the ring, and his results speak for themselves, coming 2nd and 6th in the five-year-old classes at the British Showjumping Spring Championships. By the great stallion Vigo D’Arsouilles, Rivell PS looks like he will follow in the footsteps of the forty five-star 1.60m (SJ) showjumpers this tremendous stallion has produced, including Breen Equestrian's very own Golden Hawk.

BE Flygold, a dark bay gelding, Stakkato Gold x Ballypatrick Flight. This lovely gelding is from a blacktype family with direct family relations to 1.55m jumpers. BE Flygold is a very tidy, brave young gelding who looks to be of the same mould as his competitive Grand Prix parents. His dam, Ballypatrick Flight, was a 1.50 jumping mare herself and hails from the same family as MHS Going Global who went to the Rio Olympics with Ireland's Greg Broderick and already has offspring jumping 1.55m (SJ). BE Flygold also shares a dam with BE graduate, BP Limitless who is dominating the 1.40s with Max O’Reilly in Ireland. This Irish-bred horse looks to be one to watch in the ring with multiple clear rounds on his impressive resume already.

A modern five-year-old gelding, Hephebe de Riverland has it all, gifted with an incredible technique, a lovely attitude, and scope to burn. He demonstrates everything you would want to see in a modern sport horse, destined for the top of show jumping. Sharing a dam with Delvis de Riverland (1.40m) and Arrezo de Rivlerland (1.30m), Hephebe de Riverland is from a proven family of performers that add to the talent inherited from his exciting sire Sunday de Riverland - all the ingredients needed to produce a superstar for show jumping.

Six-year-olds

BE Sunshine, liver chesnut gelding, Golden Hawk x Fragile D’or. This exciting six-year-old comes with unlimited scope. BE Sunshine lives up to his name with his lovely attitude, paired with his unlimited scope brings everything you could want in a showjumper to the table. With his sire and dam both having jumped to Grand Prix level, BE Sunshine looks like he will follow the same path. He is a half-brother to 1.60m (SJ) Grand Prix stallion Icon D’or and full sibling to six-year-old BE Aquila who is already impressing in the 1.30m age classes.

BE Sunshine's results to date include: 6th in the Newcomers at Hickstead; 15th in the 6YO Qualifier at Pyecombe; 16th in the Newcomers at Hickstead.

Certified, a bright bay mare, Diginified van’t Zorgvliet x Simplify. This six-year-old mare is a real eye-catcher, she certainly exudes the X-factor. An Irish-bred mare out of an OBOS Quality mare and by the proven 1.40m son of Clinton, Diginified van’t Zorgvliet, she brings everything to the table. With a neat and tidy technique and a competitive record to her name, this talented mare is one to watch for the future. Certified is a stunning mare that would make an exciting addition to any string, with family relations including Boleybawn Aasha (1.55), Boleybawn Cooley (1.45), Simply Cruise (1.45) and Moonahaw DVZ Diamond (1.45), she is sure to make it to the top of the sport.

Ballyvogue Freedom, a black mare, Balloon x Heaven Sent. A stunning mare with endless scope and ability, Ballyvogue Freedom’s breeding speaks for itself. By the great stallion Balloon, who himself jumped up to five-star Grands Prix and Nation Cups with Shane Breen and with numerous progeny jumping up to 1.50s, this stunning mare looks set to follow suit. Her dam, Heaven Sent, is also half-sister to Breen Equestrian’s first-ever 1.60 Grand Prix home-bred, Cos-I-Can, whom Shane and America’s Reed Kessler saw incredible success with. Ballyvogue Freedom brings these two top-class bloodlines together and with her good looks, insane amount of scope and textbook technique, she really is a full package!

Seven-year-olds

BE Golden, a bright bay gelding, Golden Hawk x Zarnita. BE Golden is a Grand Prix talent with a proven track record. Boasting a top pedigree, sired by the legendary Grand Prix stallion who needs no introduction - Golden Hawk - and out of top 1.60m performer in Zarnita, he has always been one to watch from an early age. This young gelding has gone from strength to strength in the ring with Chris Smith and has already proven himself repeatedly. With already over £3,400 in winnings, numerous clear rounds and over 500 BS points to his record, BE Golden is not one to miss! His record and ability are paired with an incredible attitude to do his job and a huge heart to match.

Cinderella Z ll’s, bay mare, Comfilo Plus Z x Campina. This incredibly talented seven-year-old is destined for the top of the sport. Out of a Chacco-Blue mare and out of the Comme Il Faut son, Comfilo Plus Z, who himself jumped at five-star level, Cinderella Z ll’s blacktype pedigree speaks for itself. This seven-year-old mare not only has a family tree of dreams, but herself is one to watch in the ring. Her talent and technique have always been apparent from an early age, and she has flourished under the careful tutelage of Alex Hempleman which shows in her impressive resume. This mare would be a welcome addition to any rider’s string!

BE Blue 1, dark bay mare, Plot Blue x Palais Royale. BE Blue 1 is an amateur's dream with lots of potential by Plot Blue. She is a lovely mare who would suit any rider – she has all the talent to be a top showjumper for a professional or would suit an amateur who wants to go be competitive in the bigger classes.
