WITH less than one week to go, Bellewstown Racecourse is excited to kick off what’s set to be an action-packed summer festival at the track from Thursday, July 6th until Saturday 8th.
Racing gets underway on the Hill of Crockafotha on Thursday evening with a competitive flat card, featuring the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Fillies Maiden of €25,000, and the €16,000 Indaver Ireland Handicap over five furlongs.
Bellewstown is also delighted to welcome back their longest sponsor, Seamus Mulvaney Bookmakers, to support the Seamus Mulvaney Crockafotha (Q.R.) Race.
Racing and fashion go hand-in-hand on Friday evening. While the jockeys take up their reins on the track for the second day, the Tankardstown House most stylish competition takes place in the enclosure. The judges for the event are former Miss Meath, Aine O’Connor, and Joanne Mallon from Ribbon Rouge Boutique, both of whom will be assisted by the sponsor’s team.
In addition to the worthy winner, the three runners-up will also receive excellent prizes. Fourth place will enjoy a couple’s package at Wellness in The Coach House, Tullyallen. Third place will receive a personal shopping experience at Ribbon Rouge Boutique. Second place will enjoy an overnight stay for two people in Boyne Hill House, with dinner in the Conyngham Arms Hotel, Slane.
Overall winner
The overall winner will receive a two-night VIP stay at Tankardstown House, an impressive 18th century manor house. During the winner’s stay they will be dining in style as they sit back and enjoy an evening tasting menu, along with wine pairings, on both evenings.
The final day of the summer festival features an all National Hunt card sponsored by Bar One Racing. The evening fixture features the €45,000 Bar One Racing Bellewstown Handicap Hurdle. The sponsors will pay a €25,000 bonus if the winning horse goes on to success in the Guinness Galway Hurdle at their forthcoming meeting.
Why not soak up the action and book some corporate hospitality, allowing you to sit back and embrace the racing in a luxurious base for the day? For €85 per person this package provides you with admission to racecourse, enclosed reserved seating in a corporate hospitality marquee, racecard, buffet meal, full bar facilities, Tote betting facilities, a racing tipster, an elevated viewing area, and after-racing entertainment.
The advice from the Bellewstown team is to book now as there is limited availability remaining for Saturday.
If corporate hospitality is not for you, Bellewstown also offers a punters pack which includes all you need to get you set up for a great day. At €30 it includes admission, racecard, €5 bet and either a pint or a glass of wine. So why not gather family and friends and enjoy a great day out. General admission tickets are also available from €20, with OAP and student tickets priced at €10.
Racing break
If you are looking for accommodation to enhance your racing break, why not book the Conyngham Arms Hotel, a beautifully restored 18th century coaching inn, set in the heart of historic Slane. It’s only 20 minutes from the racecourse. Or if you fancy something a little different, why not check into the luxurious Tankardstown House, situated only 30 minutes from the track.
At Tankardstown, the Brabazon Dining Experience offers accommodation in one of their newly refurbished bedrooms, conveniently located in the restaurant courtyard. When you check in, you will be treated to a crafted cocktail, before dinner in the multi-award winning Brabazon Restaurant, dining from their seven-course tasting menu.
