MEHMAS made history this week when he sired his 62nd two-year-old winner of the year, thereby surpassing the previous record set by Kodiac.
The milestone for Mehmas comes at the end of a year which saw the Tally-Ho Stud stallion responsible for three Group 1 winning two-year-olds in Scorthy Champ, Vertical Blue and Magnum Force. He also had a yearling colt sell for one million guineas at Tattersalls last month.
He will stand for €70,000 in 2025, up from €50,000. His stud fee was as low as €7,500 just four years ago.
Kodiac will stand at a reduced fee of €25,000 next year. He too hit a significant milestone this season when surpassing 100 stakes winners, including a new two-year-old Group 1 winner in Babouche.
Tally-Ho Stud will stand two new stallions for Amo Racing next year - King Of Steel and Bucanero Fuerte.
King Of Steel, winner of the Champion Stakes at Ascot and second in the Derby, is a son of the all-conquering Wootton Bassett and is sure to be popular at his introductory fee of €20,000.
Bucanero Fuerte, also by Wootton Bassett, starts at €12,500. He was a four-length winner of the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and was also successful at Group 2 and Group 3 level.
Another new recruit for Tally-Ho Stud is outstanding sprinter Big Evs. The first son of Blue Point to stud, he won at Group 3, Group 2 and Grade 1 level as a juvenile, and this year he was a Group 2 winner at Goodwood. His fee is €17,500.
Cotai Glory will stand for €15,000 after another good season, Good Guess moves to €12,500, Starman stays at €10,000 and Persian Force remains on €8,000.
