GOFFS will publish the December National Hunt catalogue next Wednesday and it will include Grade 1-winning mares Marie’s Rock and Brandy Love.
Trained by Nicky Henderson, Marie’s Rock (by Milan) won nice races in her career. The highlights were Grade 1 hurdle races at the 2022 Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals, and as recently as last month she gave notice that she retains plenty of ability when beaten by only a head in a 14-furlong listed race on the flat.
Brandy Love (by Jet Away) was a point-to-point winner for Colin Bowe who then joined Willie Mullins. She defeated Love Envoi by eight lengths in a Grade 1 novice hurdle at the 2022 Fairyhouse Easter Festival. The sale runs from Monday, December 9th to Wednesday, December 11th.
It mainly consists of National Hunt foals and among the sires with stock on offer are Walk In The Park, Crystal Ocean, Blue Bresil and Jukebox Jury.
There are foals out of top-class race mares Shattered Love, Glen’s Melody and Cabaret Queen, plus siblings to Slade Steel, Minella Cocooner, Hewick, Briar Hill, Pinkerton and Apple Away, as well as close relations to Minella Times, Sizing John, Glencove Marina, Shishkin, L’Ami Serge, Ballabriggs, Yorkhill, Envoi Allen, Wicklow Brave and Outlander.
The breeding stock section features Grade 2 winners Harmonya Maker and Ifyoucatchmenow, plus listed race winners Liberty Dance, Ardera Ru and Thursday’s Clonmel listed chase winner Pink In The Park. There are also sisters to I Am Maximus, Appreciate It, Hillcrest, Pied Piper, Athena Du Berlais and Kalashnikov in the sale.
Goffs CEO Henry Beeby said: “The December NH sale has proved one of the great success stories for Goffs in recent years with a catalogue that has become the first choice for so many NH breeders these days.”
