THERE are 886 lots catalogued for the four-day Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale, which runs from Sunday, November 10th until Wednesday, November 13th.
Last year’s sale was over five days and the catalogue featured 1,100 horses. Between 2009 and 2023 it was a six-day affair with typically 1,400 horses listed. Prior to those years, the November Sale lasted 13 days and could involve more than 3,000 animals.
As usual, the sale is dominated by foals and over 800 of them will be on offer this year.
Over 80 sires are represented in the catalogue, including 35 foals from leading sire Walk In The Park. The progeny of Poet’s Word, Order of St George, No Risk At All, Doctor Dino, Blue Bresil, Goliath Du Berlais, and Jeu St Eloi are also strongly represented numerically.
On the final day of the sale, a select band of mares will be offered, including Grade 2-placed Instit (in foal to Walk In The Park) and Cheltenham Festival winner Heaven Help Us, in foal to Jeu St Eloi.
