IN 2014 Goffs staged a new auction in Britain, their London Sale, which replaced their Ready To Run Sale for two-year-olds at Kempton Park.
The new venture has twice proved extremely successful, with Majestic Queen selling for £825,000 last June, so Goffs are again repeating this auction, to be held in The Orangery at Kensington Palace in London, at which both breezers and horses in training will be offered.
This sale has again been organised in association with QIPCO and will be held on the day before Royal Ascot begins, on Monday, June 13th. The 21 breeze-up horses will be put through their paces at Kempton Park on Sunday, June 12th, starting at 11.00 am.
The headline act is likely to be the Irish 1000 Guineas winner Jet Setting who also has an entry in the Coronation Stakes.
The first mare in foal to Golden Horn the listed winning five-year-old mare Lady Penko will also be offered. The catalogue also includes over 20 high-class horses in training, several with Royal Ascot engagements. The sale begins on Monday at 5.00pm.
Anyone wishing to attend the sale must contact Goffs in advance. Bidding will be in pounds sterling.
Blacktype winners among the horses in training include Money Maker, Ross Castle, Shadow Hunter, Time Warp, Viren’s Army and Vona. The breeze-up catalogue contains juveniles by quality sires such as Danehill Dancer, Excelebration, Helmet, Kendargent, Kodiac, Kyllachy, Lope De Vega, Mayson, Rip Van Winkle, Siyouni and Zebedee.
