THIS is the 41st edition of Europe’s oldest breeze-up auction, first held in 1977, and the catalogue contains 152 attractive lots (16 fewer than last year), to be offered by Goffs UK (formerly Doncaster Bloodstock Sales) at their new sales complex.

These two-year-olds will be sold on Wednesday, 12th April, starting at 10am, after all of them have breezed at Doncaster Racecourse on the Tuesday.

Once again, Henry Beeby, the managing director, has reminded buyers that the success rate for breeze-up graduates from Doncaster has usually been better than its rivals.

High-class performers sold at this auction include Group 1 stars Quiet Reflection, My Dream Boat, Dream Ahead, Paco Boy, Total Gallery and Speciosa.

Last year the top price of £170,000 was shared by Ardad and Prince Of Lir, who both won at Royal Ascot two months later.

Goffs UK have two-year-olds in their catalogue by many of the leading sires, notably Acclamation, Dark Angel, Helmet, Holy Roman Emperor, Invincible Spirit, Kodiac, Kyllachy, Lope De Vega, Sir Prancealot, Teofilo and Zoffany, also by some American stars including Kitten’s Joy and Uncle Mo.
