THERE is a very substantial catalogue for this year’s August Sale at Fairyhouse and all the 837 entries are National Hunt stores. Tattersalls Ireland Ltd will be selling on three days again: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 13th to 15th August.

Talented jumpers such as Moon Racer, Thistlecrack, Beef Or Salmon, Tranquil Sea, Oscars Well, Oscar Dan Dan, Simply Ned and Summerville Boy have been bought at the August Sale in recent years and prices are usually lower than at the Derby Sale in June.

Many of the leading Irish National Hunt sires are strongly represented, including Arcadio, Califet, Fame And Glory, Flemensfirth, Getaway, Leading Light, Mahler, Milan, Presenting, Shirocco and Yeats. All lots bought will be eligible for the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland Sales Bumper at Fairyhouse next Easter.
