THERE is no limit to learning with a number of evening, part-time and adult learning courses available on almost every topic across the country. Horse racing is no different. Organiser Mary FitzGerald recently announced that Horses for Courses is returning to the Talbot Hotel in February.

Horses for Courses is an evening adult education course on horse racing. It will run over six weeks, starting on Monday February 11th. Each evening will run for two hours, from 7:30pm until 9:30pm.

The course previously ran for seven years in University College Dublin and University College Limerick and proved to be very popular.

The course is ideal for anyone looking to expand their knowledge on horse racing. Participants will learn about everything and everyone involved in the sport, including breeders, trainers, owners and racegoers.

Racecourse management, the role played by Horse Racing Ireland, the role of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, media and sponsorship will all also be covered throughout the course.

The course also includes a trip to Kildangan Stud, a free day at the races and weekly draws for spot prizes such as racing hats, jackets, betting vouchers and much more

Participants will get to hear from some of the top industry experts including CEO of HRI Brian Kavanagh, CEO of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Denis Egan, flat jockey and trainer Johnny Murtagh, trainer John Oxx, and CEO of Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Charles O’Neill.

Places are limited, but if you are interested in learning more about the Sport of Kings you can booked via www.eventbrite.ie or maryfitzgeraldpr.ie.
