ODON Equestrian was established in 1999 by David Snr and David Jnr O’Donoghue and is based in Midleton, Co Cork. David Snr already had 40 years experience in metal fabrication at this stage. Another son, Stephen, joined the business in 2006.

The company specialises in manufacturing equestrian equipment, consisting of horse galloper, horse walker, lunging rings, harrow for arena and gallop maintenance, starting stalls and stocks.

In these 25 years, we have been the largest supplier of equine equipment in Ireland with every growing international market.

We manufacture the biggest horse galloper in the world, with a diameter of 50m (165ft), which can easily canter 14 horses capable of up 50km/hr. We manufactured a horse galloper that exercises 56 horses at one time. Walkers can be supplied for any diameter and number of horses to exercise.

In recent years, we have developed a fully electric walker, which requires no maintenance and no ongoing servicing cost, in comparison to a conventional hydraulic-driven walker.

Our lunging ring can be manufactured up to 20m (65ft) with the added safety benefit of continuous rubber on the surrounds.

We also supply a wide range of harrows for arena and gallop maintenance for all types of vehicle and surfaces, including an articulated harrow for circular arenas and gallops. We have a multi-master roller for wood chip gallops.
