ST CONLETH’S Community College Newbridge runs two full-time courses. Students are in classes for three days per week and spend two days per week out on work practice. The broad knowledge of equine subjects and transferable skills leads to numerous progression routes within the equine industry. Successful students from the Level 5 course can progress to NUIM on their business degree programme and successful students from the Level 6 course meet the requirement for Young Trained Farmer.
Graduates from our courses are employed in many different sectors of the industry: administrators within the sports horse, racing and breeding industry, managers of yards and studs, riding instructors, work riders and head lads in racing industry, self-employed and running their own business. Past graduates have achieved considerable success including several being awarded the Michael Osborne Business Degree Scholarship in NUIM and places on ITBA Next Generation Apprenticeship Scheme.
