Grade 1 winning chasers Don Poli and Outlander are set to be sold on the eve of the Aintree Grand National and may well have new owners when they line up for the £1 million race on Saturday, April 6th.
Gigginston House Stud have entered both Gordon Elliott-trained horses for the Goffs UK Aintree Sale which takes place after racing on Thursday week, April 4th.
Don Poli is a winner of eight races including three at Grade 1 level. However, he has been out of form this season. Outlander also has three Grade 1 wins among his racecourse victories.
Eddie O’Leary of Gigginstown House Stud commented: "Don Poli and Outlander represent outstanding opportunities for new owners to purchase live chances in the Grand National and also potential top-class hunter chasers for the future. Outlander also performs on better ground making him an ideal prospect for racing in America.”
Purchasers already registered with the BHA will be able to change the ownership and colours in time for the Grand National two days later.
