Paddy Twomey will keep Ascot in mind for his impressive Curragh winner Van Der Decken.

The Dutch Art colt ran out an impressive winner of a strong-looking maiden on Sunday, won 12 months previously by Air Force Blue.

Van Der Decken already holds an entry in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes in August, but a trip across the Irish Sea may beckon first.

"He was impressive and I was happy with him," said Twomey. "We'll keep Ascot in mind for him, for sure. He's come out of it in good form and I think he'll prefer a bit nicer ground.

"He's out of a Green Desert mare, whose sister was a fast-ground winner in Canada.

"In time you'd think he may stay a bit further.''
