Catalogue for May Sale published

TATTERSALLS Ireland has published the catalogue for the May Store Sale, which takes place in the same week as the Derby Sale, from July 13th-17th. It includes 234 stores, all of whom are eligible for the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper 2021.

ITM winners

THE five winners of a €1,000 sales voucher from Irish Thoroughbred Marketing are Michelle Duggan, Patrick Eugene Turley, Garrett James Power, Hugh Paul Finegan, and D.J. Leahy. A total of 68 point-to-point handlers were eligible, having trained a mare to win an Irish point-to-point during the 2019-’20 season. The vouchers must be spent on a filly or mare at an Irish National Hunt store sale in 2020.

ITM’s chief executive Charles O’Neill commented: “In 2019, both prize money for mares-only contests and mares-only blacktype opportunities increased by 5%. You need only look at the success of mares such as Honeysuckle and Magic Of Light, who both graduated from Irish point-to-points, to see what can be achieved.”
