THE leading National Hunt stallion Presenting has died at Glenview Stud in Fermoy, Co Cork.

Aged 25, he was champion sire on four occasions and sired 20 individual Grade 1 winners. Among his best performers were Gold Cup winners Denman and War Of Attrition.

Originally trained by John Gosden, Presenting finished third behind Lammtara in the 1995 Derby and won the Group 2 Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury before being retired from racing to begin stallion duties in 1997.

His stud fee was €12,000 at his peak.
