THE Racing Academy and Centre of Education wants to hear from all stakeholders in racing on the subject of industry recruitment and staff development.
An online survey can be accessed via a link on the Racing Academy’s homepage. It will only take a few minutes to complete and will feed into the formulation of RACE’s strategic plan for the next three-to-five years.
RACE director Keith Rowe said: “We want to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the industry and are fit for purpose and aligned with the overall strategy for the racing & breeding sector.
“This is an ideal opportunity for us to engage with a variety of stakeholders and establish how best we can help and support them in achieving their goals.
“Our industry faces a number of current and future challenges in the areas of recruitment, retention and development of staff and we firmly believe that a joined-up strategy for investment in people can yield great benefits for all stakeholders and secure a competitive advantage for Irish racing.
“We hope that this feedback process will prompt some positive collaborations which will benefit everyone as we move forward.”
While the various industry representative bodies are being asked to put forward their views, RACE is also keen to hear from individuals who have an interest in the area, be they trainers, racing staff, employers, employees, graduates or racing fans, and all contributions will be taken on board as part of the strategic planning process.
The survey is now live.
