HORSE Racing Ireland (HRI) has recently been reaccredited the Ibec KeepWell Mark, an evidence-based workplace wellbeing accreditation that puts the wellbeing of employees at the forefront of company policy.
HRI achieved the award in 2022, and the reaccreditation demonstrates the organisation’s ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy and supportive workplace environment and recognises the advances that have been made over the past two years.
The process involved a thorough self-assessment and on-site audit, measuring HRI’s performance against a set of recognised standards across eight pillars of wellbeing.
They are leadership, absence management, health and safety, mental health, smoke free, physical activity, healthy eating, and intoxicants.
The KeepWell Mark is awarded by Ibec under licence from the Workplace Wellbeing Charter and the process was driven by a team of employees from across each sector of HRI, with strong support from senior management.
Carol Nolan, Director of People and Equuip at HRI, commented: “It’s fantastic to be reaccredited the Ibec KeepWell Mark, which recognises our ongoing commitment to workplace wellness, health and safety, and aligns with our strategic objective to prioritise our people. Since our first accreditation in 2022, we have continued to invest in improving our wellbeing practices and we take great pride in our commitment to supporting employee wellbeing.”
