Tell us about your favourite Cheltenham Festival experience and why it was so special.

It would have to be Road to Respect flying up the Cheltenham hill to win the Brown Advisory Plate. To win any race at the Festival is great, and to win it in the style he did, you can’t beat that feeling.

Where is the best place to watch the action?

The best place for us to watch the action is in the grooms’ stand. There’s a big screen right in front of the stand and we’re right beside the track, so we have a great view of all the action. All the grooms are there together, so it makes it an extra special place to watch the racing. There’s a great atmosphere as everyone cheers on their own horse, there’s great excitement there that we all share.

If you could own one horse running at this year’s Festival, who would it be and why?

Without doubt, it would have to be Altior. He’s just different gravy around Cheltenham and has won four times at the Festival. He absolutely flies around there and looks to have a great chance of a fifth Festival win in the Champion Chase.

If you could make one change to the meeting what would it be?

There’s nothing really that I’d change about the Festival to be honest. It’s a great four days and my motto is “if

it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” It’s a week we all look forward to and is a highlight of every year.

Which of the four days of the Festival is your favourite and why?

The first day of the Festival is my favourite. All the hype is still alive, and all the work and everything that has gone into getting the horses there has come to fruition. When they jump off for the first race, and you hear the famous Cheltenham roar go up, it makes the hairs

stand up on the back of your neck! It really is a different

feeling.
