Curragh team win RACE Golf Classic
THE Curragh Racecourse finally got their hands on one of the ‘majors’ after many years of trying when a team led by Pat Kelly captured this year’s RACE/Michael Kinane Golf Classic held last Tuesday on the Palmer course at the K Club.
The racecourse team, which also included Tony Jones, Niall Kennelly and David Osbourne, took the coveted perpetual trophy by a margin of two points from the qualified riders quartet of Jamie Codd, Padraig Roche, Liam Cleary and Kevin Law. Third place went to Michael Kinane’s team ahead of TRI Equestrian and the Turf Club.
The K Club venue proved a great success with the Ryder Cup course in splendid condition despite some heavy showers. RACE would like to thank all of the competing players and sponsors for their support for this event.
