CHAMPION Hurdle winners Faugheen, Hurricane Fly and Hardy Eustace will be among the racing legends taking part in a Parade of Champions at the Curragh on Sunday week. Former Irish St Leger winner Royal Diamond is also expected to put in an appearance at this event at 12.15pm.
Those fortunate enough to secure tickets for the day can hear tips from the Winning Line preview panel at 1pm and there will be live music throughout the day.
Also on Sunday the winner of the Longines Young Designer Award will also be announced after the three finalists showcase their outfits.
Derby show
TG4 will screen The Irish Derby - Níos Mó Ná Rása at the prime time of 8pm next Friday, September 10th, the eve of Irish Champions Weekend. The programme was made by Bankos Tales and explores the big turning points in the history of the Derby.
It features contributions from trainers Aidan O’ Brien, Charles O’Brien, Dermot Weld, Jim Bolger, John Gosden, John Oxx, Joseph O’ Brien and Michael Stoute, jockeys Frankie Dettori and Seamie Heffernan, former jockeys Lester Piggott, Michael Kinane and Pat Smullen and Coolmore Stud’s John Magnier.
