ON Saturday October 17th, Leopardstown is encouraging racegoers to run around their living room in support of Breast Cancer Ireland’s Great Pink Run, as the fundraiser goes virtual for the first time!
The Great Pink Run is celebrating its 10th anniversary and over the weekend of October 17th you can join in by walking, jogging or running a 5k or 10k distance to raise funds for Breast Cancer Ireland.
Aisling Hurley, CEO of Breast Cancer Ireland, explained: “Now more than ever we need the support of everyone. While we cannot bring everyone together in one physical space, we are encouraging people to gather their friends and family locally and help us as we need to continue investing in research so that we can change the dial positively for breast cancer into the future.’
On Saturday, October 17th Leopardstown stages the Breast Cancer Ireland Ladies Handicap to raise awareness for the charity.
Register for the virtual Great Pink Run at www.greatpinkrun.ie. Registration is €15 which will give you access to upload your distance that weekend, share your photos and watch the globe turn pink for breast cancer research.
The two-day October Leopardstown fixture is on October Friday, 16th and Saturday, 17th. For further information and to #BeInvolved from home, visit www.leopardstown.com.
