Liskennett rocking to Kennedy and O’Connor
A CAPACITY crowd greeted Liam O’Connor and Brian Kennedy at the recent fundraising concert for the Liskennett Farm for children and adults with autism, part of the St Joseph’s Foundation, Charleville, Cork, held in the indoor arena at Liskennett Equine Therapy Centre in Granagh, Co Limerick.
One parent commented: “I always wanted to see Brian Kennedy perform, and we have a child with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) so we have never been able to go, but because he (Brian Kennedy) performed in an arena with which our child is familiar and is a safe and non-judgemental space we were able to attend as a family.”
Liskennett operates as an Equine Therapy Centre, with 85 acres of pasture, an indoor and outdoor arena, a sensory trail and 25 horses, donkeys, alpacas and sheep. Liskennett is dependent on voluntary contributions and fundraising events. Check out their website at www.stjosephsfoundation.ie.
