CONGRATULATIONS to Laura Hanlon, who won the best dressed prize at Limerick last Sunday and stunned in a beautiful pale pink fine knit dress from IClothing with co-ordinating shoes from Penneys, a white fur from DV8 and a white clutch bag from Lulu Guinness. What a talented contestant, as she made the stunning white and pink headpiece herself.
“I am shaking from head to toe, I am beyond thrilled to win. My dress cost just €20, so it is great to win wearing something that doesn’t cost the earth!” Laura went home with a €4,000 diamond ring as the top prize.
Whither Down Royal?
A NEW name may be needed for Down Royal Racecourse next year. Can our readers help? With a nod to ParisLongchamp, how about BelfastMaze? With Brexit looming perhaps we should drop the ‘Royal’ and just go with Down? Arlene Park, anyone?
Billy’s engaged
CONGRATULATIONS to jockey Billy Lee on his engagement to Catriona Mac Nabb. Billy plans to spend the winter in the UAE based in Al Ain. “Hopefully Caitriona will come out for a holiday,” Billy told us. “I spent a few months in Dubai as an apprentice, which was a long time ago. I’m looking forward to going back but I’ll miss the craic in Dundalk on Friday nights!”
