Desperately sad news that Trevor Hemmings has died. I’m very proud to have worn his iconic colours on many wonderful days. He was a great friend to many but a greater friend to our sport and that of his beloved @pnefc thoughts with all his family & friends.

I am so desperately sad about Trevor Hemmings. He was a passionate, generous and loyal friend who I was lucky to share so many magical days with on and off the racecourse. The world has lost a truly incredible man and horse racing, one of its greatest supporters.

Incredibly sad news and tough to come to terms with tonight. He always seemed indestructible. The world will seem so much emptier for his passing. All our thoughts are with his family. Rest peacefully, Trevor.

Sad news about Trevor Hemmings, a nice man who was very good to many over here as well.

QUOTES OF THE WEEK
To say myself and Paula are proud parents would be an understatement Rob just won his first Group 1 winner this morning on Profondo thanks to Richard Litt and all connections for being so loyal and leaving Rob on this absolutely fabulous racehorse. “He would come into the paddock, have a laugh and then put his jockey at ease by saying ‘Go out and enjoy yourself’. But it wasn’t just racing. He became a very good friend and both Harvey and I will miss him greatly.” Sue Smith
“As long as you were doing your best and looking after the horse, that’s all he wanted. He also did a lot of good for racing and never wanted any recognition – that was a mark of the man. There was no side to him. A gentleman and he will be missed.” Brian Hughes
At its heart, racing is about love respect and admiration for the thoroughbred and few enbodied this ethos quite like Trevor Hemmings, who always and unwaveringly did his best for his horses, both during their careers and after. BHA Statement
