Being the handicapper is a thankless task but nobody would lift your spirits like Noel O’Brien. In a place where everyone is somewhat selfishly trying to extract the sharpest info, Noel was always good for a friendly word and a genuine laugh. Irish racing has lost a treasure. RIP

Very very sad to hear of the passing of Senior National Hunt Handicapper Noel O’Brien after a long battle with illness. An absolute GENTLEMAN to the core. Irish Racing has lost a great administrator

It is so sad that Noel O’Brien - a man that brightened up so many lives - should be laid to rest on the darkest day of the year. A giant among men. It was one of life’s greatest pleasures to have known him. May he Rest In Peace.

Home after one of the toughest days. Standing room only as we said farewell to Noel O’Brien ... a fitting tribute to a man for whom the word unique was invented.
Taken from us far too soon.
RIP and thanks for so much

My little sister now has a name.
She’s called Entitle. Short for Entitled Little Brat.

Desperately sad about the mighty Douvan, doing the right thing by the horse rather than risking him, hopefully he can come back in time like Faugheen did

The Prix Auricula ran in March could turn out to be some fillies maiden hurdle!
-The 2nd Stormy Ireland & 3rd Chante Neige are both now with Willie Mullins.
-The 4th Elimay after a great autumn campaign was bought by JP for €310k!
-The 1st Santa Adelia was bought by Waley-Cohen.
