CO-TRAINERS Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman saddled the first two home in the Group 1 Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes at Te Aroha in New Zealand on Saturday with Diademe and Sports Illustrated.

The Savabeel and Fast N’ Famous mares led home the Redoute’s Choice mare Abidewithme in the 1,600 metre event for fillies and mares.

“It’s so well deserved. Often you see these good mares go to stud without getting a Group 1,” said Forsman, whilst Baker was in Australia putting the finishing touches on Mongolian Khan for the Australian Derby. “I thought the track might have been too hard for her today so, for a mare who has been feeling her joints, it speaks volumes for how tough she is.”
