1.50 CONNOLLY’S RED MILLS IRISH EBF MARES AUCTION MAIDEN HURDLE 2M 4F
Court Maid could take all the beating. The Galway Festival bumper winner made an encouraging start over hurdles in the opening leg of this series when she chased home Whatsafelltodo at Listowel last month.
On that occasion she was only beaten 1½l and the first, third and fourth from that race have all won since which gives the form a strong look.
She is preferred to the hurdling newcomer Whatucallher who improved on a respectable debut fifth in the Land Rover bumper to chase home Suinda in a Clonmel bumper in May.

A chance is taken on Famous Day who is getting plenty of weight from a number of her rivals and also has her rider’s 5lbs claim to aid her cause.
This daughter of Beneficial is rated just 100 but she is getting almost a stone off several of her rivals and the further allowance provided by her jockey could enable her to play a leading role. She has won just once from her 17 starts so far but she will enjoy the ground and her recent 2m 6f handicap hurdle success at Navan would suggest that she will relish moving up to this trip.
She is preferred to He’s No Molly who took advantage of an ultimate straight forward opportunity to run out a 23l winner of a Downpatrick maiden hurdle over an extended 2m 6f last week.

Cappacon has crept up 18lbs in the weights for his last three outings but he could well strike again. After scoring over 2m 4f at Sligo and Wexford earlier in the autumn he was foiled in his bid for a hat-trick at Navan last month but he still ran very well to lose out by ½l to Try Again in a 2m handicap hurdle.
The former winning pointer should find this trip more suitable than the distance he ran over the last day and he could improve again for the step up in distance. He gets the vote over The Ballyboys who showed up well in a Clonmel handicap hurdle last month to finish a 1½l second to Fred The Foot. That effort entitles him to make his presence felt.

A fine season for Padraic O Conaire could yield a fourth win in seven starts. The son of Mountain High will be right at home on the good ground and has progressed nicely to keep pace with his rise up the ratings in recent months.
He is now 23lbs higher than winning at Listowel in June but he should still be more than competitive off this career high mark and he can confirm recent Gowran form with Balinaboola Steel. The latter enjoys a 5lbs pull in the weights for that ½l defeat at Gowran and he can be relied upon to mount a strong challenge.

Eight Till Late comes here in fine form and is bidding for a quick follow up after defeating Stooshie by 4l in a rated hurdle at Punchestown on Tuesday.
He has also run well on his last two chase outings and he is 4lbs better off with Lake Takapuna for a neck defeat at Sligo last month. He is preferred to Penny Jane who produced a fine effort on her return from a year long absence to defeat Gentleman Duke by 1½l in a competitive 2m 2f handicap chase at Galway recently.
Three Stars has to shoulder top weight and he hasn’t run since April. However, he has every chance on his second to Patricks Park at Leopardstown last February while he also showed up well to take fifth in the Grand Annual at Cheltenham on his penultimate outing.
SELECTION: EIGHT TILL LATE

A chance is taken on Polar Present who has put together a couple of decent runs in defeat lately. She ran a respectable 2½l second to Bargy Lady at Fairyhouse last weekend while her third to Moonlight Present over an extended 2m at Sligo late last month was a decent effort over a trip short of her best.
She is preferred to the hat-trick chasing Judgement Day who followed up a Kilbeggan success with a ¾l triumph over Justmemyselfandi in a rated novice chase over an extended 3m at Gowran two weeks ago. He shouldn’t have any trouble coming back in trip. Mill Quest is also respected as she bids for her fifth success of the season.

Doctor Duffy can record a deserved success. After taking second in a Galway Festival bumper he came down when still holding every chance in the closing stages of a Listowel bumper last month and last week out he lost out by a neck to First Approach at Tipperary. The latter lines up once again but he has to contend with a 7lbs winner’s penalty and that tips the scales in favour of the Charles Byrnes’s runner.
