Knight Of Malta may be able to put his previous experience to good use and collect at the fourth time of asking. A smart handicapper on the flat for Aidan O’Brien, he was well beaten on his hurdling debut but has shown much improved form in his latest starts.
He will certainly need to jump much better than he did at Navan last time but if brushing up in that department he can win.
Ya Ya Baby, who had a similar level of ability on the flat showed up well when second over hurdles at Navan last time. Any slight improvement on that effort should be her play a leading role.
SELECTION: KNIGHT OF MALTA

The West Awaits should appreciate dropping back slightly in trip here having shown plenty on her hurdling debut. The daughter of Flemensfirth travelled really well for the most part of the 2m6f journey at Punchestown before weakening late on. She is certain to have benefited from the initial experience and looks a major contender.
Dreamingandhoping sets a fair standard although it is slightly disappointing, she has yet to win after five runs over flights. Nonetheless, she has the ability to be competitive in a race such as this having run better than the bare result when second at Wexford last time.

Petit Mouchoir can win his first race for new connections with his excellent young jockey’s claim making all the difference.
A genuine Grade 1 horse at his very best, he showed he was no back number when second in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham last time. Well treated at these weights, the additional 7lbs off his back is a massive advantage.
Bapaume, who won a similar race over the course and distance last month, looks the biggest threat. Willie Mullins eight-year-old continues in fine heart and has been mixing it between hurdling and chasing of late.
SELECTION: PETIT MOUCHOIR
Next Best: Bapaume

The Very Man can initiate a quick double for jockey Jordan Gainford by taking this informative contest. A former point-to-point winner, he did well in bumpers and over hurdles but has always looked a chaser in the making. Having run well on his recent chasing debut at Leopardstown, he should appreciate stepping up in trip now.
Rocket Lad was eased close home when fourth behind the selection at Leopardstown last time. There is unlikely to be too much between the pair once again here.

Go Another One can get back to winning ways here having run with credit at Cheltenham last month. John McConnell has done a fantastic job with this horse in recent times, picking up plenty of prize money over both hurdles and fences. A course-and-distance winner, he is well treated at these weights and should take beating.
Spyglass Hill comes out best on ratings but will need to be at his best to take this. His most recent form has been rather mixed but if on song he has to be greatly feared.
SELECTION: GO ANOTHER ONE

West Cork Wildway must have every chance of providing his local trainer with a win here, having run very well in a stronger race at Leopardstown. He can race off a lower mark now when his rider’s claim is accounted for and as a dual point-to-point winner, stepping up to 2m3f should be very much in his favour. The son of Yeats appears to have plenty going for him despite the competitive nature of the race.
No Grey Areas has been raised a stone for a convincing win at Gowran Park last time but could still be dangerous. The manner of that latest win was most impressive and it would be dangerous to give him too much of a lead.
SELECTION: WEST CORK WILDWAY
Next Best: No Grey Areas

Kellyiscool should be hard to beat here if settling better than at Thurles last time. On that occasion he traded at very short prices as he arrived down at the final flight hard held. However, his earlier exertions began to tell in the run-in and he had to settle for the runner-up spot. On just his third run back after a long absence, he should be at his peak now.
Shar Whats Therush has been a very consistent type in similar races over the last couple of seasons so again commands respect. A repeat of his Fairyhouse effort over this trip earlier in the year should see him involved.
SELECTION: KELLYISCOOL

Largy Fix is an interesting runner here despite having a long absence to overcome. Mouse Morris doesn’t run too many horses in bumpers and there is every likelihood that the six-year-old will improve considerably from the outing. However, it doesn’t look a particularly strong contest on paper and the booking of Barry O’Neill suggests that he may be ready for this belated racecourse debut.
Perfect Attitude has had three runs in this grade already, showing promise on each outing. While he looks relatively exposed at this stage, there don’t appear to be too many potential stars in this field so he could show up well.
