1.12 Dermot Casey Tree Care Maiden Hurdle 2m
Hurdling debutant Eternal Echo can make a winning start over flights. A former Naas bumper winner, the Gordon Elliott-trained gelding picked up black type when third in a listed contest at Limerick last time. Although lacking previous experience over jumps, the four-year-old could have a class edge on the majority of these rivals. An 80-rated filly on the flat, Dark Oak should be capable of getting involved. Having reached the frame on her second start over flights, the Joseph Murphy-trained daughter of El Kabeir has to be respected.
SELECTION: ETERNAL ECHO
Next best: Dark Oak

Having been tasked with pace making duties in two Grade 1s of late, King Of Kingsfield can get back to winning ways. Runner-up at Down Royal on his seasonal reappearance, the Gordon Elliott-trained gelding has been given an ideal opportunity to register a first victory since landing his maiden hurdle. Irish Lincoln third Smooth Tom should appreciate a small field such as this. Andy Slattery’s gelding is a sound jumper who has the turn of foot to quicken off what could well be a tactical pace.
SELECTION: KING OF KINGSFIELD
Next best: Smooth Tom
2.12 O’Flynn Motors Mallow Mares Maiden Hurdle 2m 3f
The locally trained mare Divaboriva can strike at the first attempt over jumps. A former Wexford bumper winner, the Jonathan Sweeney-trained six-year-old has been absent since that debut success last May. With her trainer having proven on numerous occasions that he can ready one first time out, there are no fears with regard to fitness.
Paul Nolan’s Colonia Victoria appeared to show improved form when fourth on her stable debut at Leopardstown. A reproduction of that effort would almost certainly see the five-year-old involved.
SELECTION: DIVABORIVA
Next best: Colonia Victoria
2.47 Bar One Racing Easter Handicap Hurdle 2m 3f
Having struggled when pitched into Grade 1 class at Leopardstown last time, Pray Tell will appreciate this easier test. A Grade 3 winner at this track on his previous start, the locally trained gelding should be competitive back in handicap company despite top weight. Regular pilot James Smith returns to the saddle claiming a valuable 5lb.
Navan third Zoffanien should be very competitive now that he returns to a sounder surface. Another horse trained in Cork, the eight-year-old could be nicely handicapped having dropped in the weights of late.
SELECTION: PRAY TELL
Next best: Zoffanien
3.22 Hibernian Hotel Mallow Handicap Hurdle 3m 80y
Course-and-distance winner Cullig can add another success at a track she clearly favours. Patrick Foley’s six-year-old mare was an easy winner here last month before almost defying a 13lb rise at Naas subsequently. With her in-form rider able to claim 5lb now, the daughter of Walk In The Park is 2lb lower than last time.
Toor Khov disappointed on his most recent start but if able to replicate his previous runner-up effort at Navan, the seven-year-old should be competitive over a trip that brings out the best in him.
SELECTION: CULLIG
Next best: Toor Khov
3.57 Michael O’Sullivan Chase (Grade 3) 3m 100y
The Willie Mullins-trained veteran Asterion Forlonge can follow up last year’s win in the corresponding race. Although now in the latter stages of his career, the grey indicated that he was primed for a repeat success when running a highly creditable race over hurdles at Thurles last time. Stablemate Mister Policeman has questions to answer having failed to complete on his last two starts. However, the lightly raced seven-year-old remains a horse with plenty of potential.
SELECTION: ASTERION FORLONGE
Next best: Mister Policeman
4.32 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase 2m 1f 25y
Pinot Gris could have too much class for this opposition if taking to chasing. A decent handicapper on the flat, the Gavin Cromwell-trained grey attained a mark of 141 over hurdles. While his ability to translate that form to fences has to be taken on trust, the five-year-old has every chance of making a winning debut.
Mirazur West has picked up crucial experience in three runs over fences to date. The Willie Mullins-trained gelding may be vulnerable to an unexposed rival but having already proven his ability to jump he has to be a leading contender.
SELECTION: PINOT GRIS
Next best: Mirazur West
5.07 Finbarr Quaid Electrical (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race 2m 3f
Wexford runner-up Thedeviluno can go a place better with the step up in trip very much in his favour.
Not beaten all that far when sixth on his debut prior to that, the Paul Nolan-trained six-year-old has crucial racecourse experience which should stand to him in a race of this nature.
Former point-to-point winner Jack The Lad finished a promising third on his first run under rules at Gowran Park last month. Granted normal improvement from that effort, the Tom Gibney-trained gelding should be involved.
SELECTION: THEDEVILUNO
Next Best: Jack The Lad
