1.40 DUBAI DUTY FREE FINEST SURPRISE IRISH EBF MAIDEN 6F

Mount Tabora is a hopeful choice to make a winning debut in a race where his trainer Aidan O’Brien fields three runners. This son of Scat Daddy lacks the advantage of a run but he is the mount of Ryan Moore and he is a half-brother to the Group 1-winning filly Chachamaidee.

He is preferred to fellow newcomer Viadera. This daughter of Bated Breath is a half-sister to several winners including the recent Group 3 runner-up Crossed Baton. Boston Bruin also takes the eye as a Kodiac half-brother to his trainer’s high class filly Bocca Baciata. All The King’s Men also warrants a mention. He showed promise on his debut several weeks ago when sixth to Decrypt and the form of that race already looks quite strong.

Selection: MOUNT TABORA

Next Best: Viadera

2.15 TOTE ROCKINGHAM HANDICAP 5F

He faces a major task under a welter burden and he finds himself 8lbs higher than when winning a valuable sprint handicap last time out but Caspian Prince is the choice. This exceptionally quick sort has run a number of fine races over this course and distance with the highlight being his Group 2 defeat of Marsha 11 months ago. He has also shown up well in this race in the past and it wouldn’t come as a shock to see him overcome top weight. He is preferred to the progressive three-year-old Blue Uluru.

The latter was much too free through the early stages of a handicap over this course and distance earlier in the month yet she was still able to beat the subsequent listed winner Dali which says much about her talents. A likely strong pace here will play to her strengths and expect a bold showing from her.

Move In Time could make his presence felt, while Nigg Bay appeals as one that could run well at a big price.

Selection: CASPIAN PRICE

Next Best: Blue Uluru

2.50 DUBAI DUTY FREE JUMEIRAH CREEKSIDE DASH STAKES (LISTED) 6F

Ardhoomey can secure his second stakes race success of the season. He won over 5f here last month, when defeating the subsequently Group 3-placed Gorane, and he showed up quite well to take third behind True Valor in the Ballycorus Stakes just over two weeks ago. The return to 6f should suit him well and the former Flying Five Stakes hero is also quite at home on a sound surface.

Fleet Review will relish the ground and he should appreciate dropping down in class following his unplaced effort in last week’s Commonwealth Cup. His previous second to Sioux Nation in a Naas Group 3 is a decent effort and last season’s Middle Park Stakes runner-up looks a likely contender. Gordon Lord Byron, a former winner of this race, could easily make his presence felt.

Selection: ARDHOOMEY

Next Best: Fleet Review

3.25 DUBAI DUTY FREE MILENNIUM MILLIONAIRE CELEBRATION STAKES (LISTED) 1M

Alexios Komnenos can take advantage of a sharp drop in class. On his two starts this season he has contested the Lockinge Stakes and a Grade 1 in America and he will find this level of competition much easier. Last term his efforts were headed by a victory in the Group 3 Desmond Stakes and a return to that level of form would entitle him to take beating.

I’m So Fancy has previously run well at this trip and looks a likely challenger as she attempts to build on an impressive success in the 10-furlong Silver Stakes at this track earlier in the month. St Patrick’s Day, who has missed a couple of recent engagements, is an intriguing runner on his Irish debut. He is a brother to the great American Pharoah and had a good horse behind him when he won at Del Mar last autumn. He has potential and it will be fascinating to see how he takes to turf racing.

Selection: ALEXIOS KOMNENOS

Next Best: I’m So Fancy

4.00 DUBAI DUTY FREE FULL OF SURPRISES SUMMER FILLIES HANDICAP 7F

A chance is taken on Petticoat who doesn’t look badly treated if she can return to the form that carried her into third in a Killarney listed race won by Music Box last summer.

She has only run twice since then and there was definite promise to be taken from her comeback sixth behind Saltonstall in a 1m handicap at this track last month.

She looks capable of dealing with this drop in distance and she is preferred to the Madrid Handicap heroine Dianthus. The latter showed that she was able to cope with a sound surface when she finished a ½l second to Hence in quite a useful fillies handicap over 1m on Guineas weekend.

The top-weight, Surrounding, shouldn’t be underestimated and nor should Most Gifted who probably didn’t run to form last time having previously posted a respectable effort in the Irish 1000 Guineas.

Selection: PETTICOAT

Next Best: Dianthus

4.35 GAIN RAILWAY STAKES (GROUP 2) 6F

Van Beethoven can follow up a good fourth in last weekend’s Windsor Castle Stakes. In the past, plenty of horses have struggled to recapture their Ascot form when turning out for this race and that is a concern but this Scat Daddy colt is well worth taking a chance on.

At Ascot the trip was on the sharp side but he finished well to reach the frame and this confirmed the promise of his previous runner-up effort behind the classy Fairyland in the Marble Hill Stakes. He will enjoy moving back to this distance and he is preferred to stablemate Land Force.

That one was just a neck behind him in the Marble Hill and then went on to run very well at Ascot where he came out the wrong side of a three-way finish to the Norfolk Stakes.

Selection: VAN BEETHOVEN

Next Best: Land Force

5.55 DUBAI DUTY FREE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS IRISH EBF HANDICAP (60-100) 2M

After ending the National Hunt season on a bright note Low Sun may now make a successful Irish flat debut. The Willie Mullins inmate wasn’t at his best through the winter but came into his own at the spring festivals where he won a €100,000 handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse before showing up well in two good races at Punchestown.

He could easily step forward on the flat form he showed in France and he could take a good deal of beating. He is chosen ahead of Western Boy who didn’t enjoy the smoothest of passages last time but still ran with credit to finish fourth to St Stephen’s Green in a handicap over this course and distance.

The Graduate ran well over this course and distance earlier in the month when chasing home Jan Van Eyck and could easily reach the frame.

Selection: LOW SUN

Next Best: Western Boy
