2.00 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF MAIDEN 5F

Servalan is a tentative choice in a race where all five contestants are newcomers. This filly is a daughter of the crack juvenile No Nay Never and out of a useful dual winner who was also placed at stakes level. In addition, her trainer sent out a newcomer to a win a two-year-old maiden at this track on Wednesday evening.

Andre Amar represents a yard that has made an excellent start to the season and whose juvenile runners have shown up well. He is a son of Dandy Man out of a Group 3-placed runner in France.

Rest Bay is another son of Dandy Man and he is a half-brother to a host of winners. Meanwhile, Rangefield Express is a half-brother to a couple of winners including capable juvenile Imagine If.

2.30 SEAN JUDGE MEMORIAL HANDICAP (45-70) 1M

Queluz shaped up well in a 7f handicap at this track last month when beaten just over 1l into fourth by A Likely Story. The longer trip of this race looks sure to suit and he can be expected to progress well off that comeback run. He wasn’t at his best on his last couple of runs last term but was a reliable sort through the first half of 2017.

His biggest danger could come from course and distance winner Masalai, who shaped up nicely when losing out by a short-head to Alfirak at this track a month ago.

Selection: QUELUZ

Next Best: Masalai

Wishing Star can build on the promise of her sole juvenile outing which was at this track last September when she was beaten just under 6l into third by the 1000 Guineas hopeful I Can Fly. The daughter of Galileo showed enough there to suggest a maiden victory was well within her reach.

She can confirm that form with Rionach who was beaten 6¼l into fourth that day having shown up well in a Curragh conditions race won by Muirin. Terzetto looks a contender having started her career with a 6½l second to the impressive Could It Be Love at this track last month.

Selection: WISHING STAR

Next Best: Rionach

3.40 LINENCARE HANDICAP (45-65) 7F

Time Stands Still has a good chance to register the first success of her career. There has been plenty of promise on her last two runs –she finished third in a Lingfield handicap over 6f and she lost out by just a neck to Bluesbreaker here in January, her last venture over this course and distance. The application of first time cheekpieces could aid her cause.

Boxer Dunford must have every chance as he looks to build on his second to The Lords Walk here last month. He won handicaps over 7f and 1m at this track last autumn and he is just 3lbs higher than when last successful.

Selection: TIME STANDS STILL

4.15 SCENIC CARLINGFORD FERRY RACE 1M 4F

Light Pillar is well treated by the race conditions and his cause is further aided by his rider’s 10lb claim, all of which points to him being hard to beat. This four-year-old progressed into a useful middle-distance type in France last season when he won twice and showed up well at stakes level on his penultimate start of the season. He wasn’t at his best when tackling Group 3 company on his final start of 2017 but his overall form gives him compelling claims.

He can deal with Kerosin who ran well off a mark of 96 to reach the frame in a Limerick handicap won by St Lawrence Gap last month.

Selection: LIGHT PILLAR

Easy Boy comes here in excellent form and can make up for his short-head defeat at the hands of Solar Heat over this course and distance on Wednesday. Another good recent run was his 3/4l second to Schoolboy Error here in March and he is now 9lbs better off with that rival who has since won again.

Schoolboy Error should again play a leading role as he looks to be in the form of his life. Course specialist Six Silver Lane warrants the utmost respect even though he has to shoulder top-weight.

Pearl Of The West is 7lbs higher than when she last won on the flat. However, she won over hurdles at Carlisle in March and some of her form from last season makes for good reading. She defeated some useful types when winning a 1m4f handicap at the Galway Festival last summer and showed on several occasions that she was at home on a sound surface. She is preferred to the dual course winner Nivvo.

The latter struggled to make an impact in a valuable Lingfield race last time but has won her last two outings at this track and she has previously run well at this trip. Elusive Duchess would be quite interesting on the form she showed on her first two runs last season.

Selection: PEARL OF THE WEST

Next Best: Nivvo
