2.10 WhatOddsPaddy? Chase (Grade 3) 2m

Cadmium might be able to repeat last year’s success in this race even though the heights of last season have been out of reach for this gelding in his two runs this term. The return to this distance could bring about a major revival in his fortunes as could the marked drop class from the Irish Gold Cup, which he contested last time. He is a speculative choice to see off Hardline.

The latter was disappointing at Thurles last month but he is capable of high-class performance and if he were to return to the form that saw him finish second to Min in December’s John Durkan Chase at Punchestown he will play a leading role.

The Grade 1-winning Ornua is respected and so too is Any Second Now who would prefer further but comes from a yard with a history of winning this race with stayers.

SELECTION: CADMIUM

Next best: Hardline

2.40 Paddy Power Road To Cheltenham Novice Handicap Chase (Grade B) 2m 4f

A hopeful vote goes to Chavi Artist. He was an easy winner of a handicap over this trip at Punchestown last month and he ran well off his revised mark when he was beaten by less than 12l into seventh by Glamorgan Duke in a very well contested 2m 5f handicap chase at Leopardstown at the start of the month when he would have been closer only for being hampered by a faller at the second last.

He is preferred to the unexposed Mormon who posted a pleasing effort to finish fifth to Carefully Selected on his chasing debut before then finishing second to Elwood at Thurles. The latter has franked the form since with a couple of placings at graded level.

The hat-trick-chasing Castle Oliver warrants consideration as does fellow improver Best Behavior who has to contend with top weight but could land a good handicap before the end of the season.

SELECTION: CHAVI ARTIST

Next best: Mormon

3.10 Paddy Power Betting Shop Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) 1m 7f 170y

Andy Dufresne has to contend with a Grade 2 penalty but might still take some beating. He had to work for his victory in a similar event at Punchestown last month but showed a good attitude to get the better of the promising Captain Guinness. The form of his Navan Grade 2 second to Latest Exhibition was franked when the latter went on to strike at the highest level at Leopardstown several weeks ago.

His biggest threat is likely to come from Mt Leinster who was an impressive maiden hurdle winner at Leopardstown over Christmas and then ran a respectable third behind Asterion Forlonge and Easywork at Grade 1 level last time. This race represents a drop in class for Mt Leinster and he should be more than capable of holding his own at this level.

SELECTION: ANDY DUFRESNE

Next best: Mt Leinster

3.40 Panormaic Restaurant At Naas Handicap Hurdle 1m 7f 170y

This could see Sean Says add to the handicap success she achieved at Punchestown last month where this four-year-old produced a nice effort to account for a field of her elders and defeat Saol Iontach by ¾l. She is now 8lb higher but can certainly progress further and appeals as a likely winner back among her own age group.

Pasley has gone off favourite for all three of his runs over hurdles, the latest of which saw him lose out to Gealach in a maiden at Punchestown. He is fitted with cheekpieces for the second time which could help his cause, and the burden of top weight shouldn’t be a problem for him. He should be closely involved.

Nobel Joshua posted a solid effort to chase home Bajan Excel at Limerick last month and appeals as another likely candidate.

SELECTION: SEAN SAYS

Next best: Pasley

4.10 Naas Nursery Of Champions Maiden Hurdle 1m 7f 170y

Pure Genius is more than good enough to win a maiden. He has run to a solid standard on both his outings over timber and the latest of those saw him finish third to Festival D’Ex in a reasonable maiden hurdle at Navan a couple of months ago when he probably shaped better than the final result would suggest after setting a decent pace.

He can progress further and see off Port Stanley whose last flight blunder at Down Royal last time cost him a winning chance when he was beaten 4½l by Department Of War.

Port Stanley’s stablemate Lynwood Gold caught the eye behind Exit Poll last time and he too should give a good account of himself.

SELECTION: PURE GENIUS

Next best: Port Stanley

4.40 Paddy Power ‘From The Horse’s Mouth’ Handicap Hurdle (80-116) 1m 7f 170y

Bythesametoken didn’t enjoy the best of runs over this course and distance last time when he was beaten 3l by Muhaafiz. He is now 5lb better off with that rival and with better luck in running he might well be able to turn the tables.

Muhaafiz should again be thereabouts and could easily progress again from his recent success. The top-weight Aarons Day is a promising type and won a maiden hurdle in good style last time, but he might just want a longer trip to be seen at his best.

SELECTION: BYTHESAMETOKEN

Next best: Muhaafiz

5.10 Paddy Power Super Enhancements (Pro/Am) Flat Race 1m 7f 170y

On his debut at Limerick over Christmas, Fire Attack looked a potentially top-drawer bumper horse in defeating the subsequent winner Julies Stowaway by 2l. He picked up impressively from the rear to win well and looks more than good enough to hold his own in winners’ company.

He can see off fellow Gigginstown House Stud runner Farouk D’Alene who won well at Down Royal over Christmas, making all the running for a commanding 17l triumph.

Another highly promising type is Stattler who ran out a 6½l winner of Fairyhouse bumper on his debut last month.

SELECTION: FIRE ATTACK

Next best: Farouk D’Alene
