Hurricane Fly: A legendary 19-time Grade 1 winner, he was close to his very best in winning three Grade 1 races last season, but was below form in his final two starts. He needed the run badly on his return to action in this race last year but he cannot be underestimated.

Jezki: A top-class novice hurdler who progressed throughout last season to win the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and follow up in the Punchestown Festival equivalent. He would rather a sounder surface, but his early-season form has been strong in recent years and he sets the standard.

King Of The Picts: A useful novice hurdler last season, he is likely to fall well short at this level.

Lethal Weapon: Rated just 115 over hurdles, he is well out of his depth in this company.

Little King Robin: She has been one of the stories of the season so far, winning seven of her last eights start over hurdles with devastating front-running tactics. While she needs to improve a stone to feature in this, the big guns wouldn’t want to give her too much rope in front.
