Erins Benefit can get the locals off to a winning start by taking this race for Co Waterford trainer John Kiely. A consistent mare over the last few months, she would have gone close to winning a similar race here in December but for unseating at the final hurdle. Although dropping back to the minimum distance, she should have the pace to cope.

Sheer Liss was second in a listed bumper earlier in the season but disappointed on her subsequent hurdling debut. She undoubtedly has the ability to be competitive here but will need to step up considerably for that initial outing.

Rocky’s Howya can further enhance the excellent Tramore record of James Dullea. Second in a rated novice hurdle at Wexford last time, a reproduction of that effort would be good enough to win here. An added bonus is that one of his better runs already came at this track when third in a bumper before Christmas.

En Beton was a beaten favourite at Limerick when last seen in action. He runs in a similar quality of race now so won’t need to improve a great deal to make his presence felt.

Priory Park could prove to be a well handicapped horse on his first outing outside of maiden company. He remains totally unexposed after just the mandatory three starts and a mark of 106 shouldn’t prove beyond him. His prominent racing style will suit this tight track so provided his jumping stands up against more experienced rivals then he could be hard to beat.

Master Artist has been raised 6lbs for his recent win at Cork but had run well off similar marks previously. Now that he has got his head in front, he could be one to follow.

Articulum should make a bold bid to win a race which looks ideally set up for him. The 11-year-old has only won one of his completed starts over fences but he is a classy horse when at the top of his game. He should get a nice lead from Bapaume and then it is just a question of whether he can pass that rival in the straight.

Bapaume is arguably a better hurdler than chaser but also has fair form in this discipline. A wide-margin winner of a hurdle at Cork on his penultimate start, he will make them all go to catch him if adopting his customary front-running tactics.

Veneziano Springs, a previous course-and-distance winner, is ideally suited to this track as he likes to bounce out and make the running. In good form when scoring over hurdles earlier in the season, he can get back to winning ways in a weak affair.

Great Trango is well-handicapped over fences relative to his flat and hurdles marks but may just need the run here. A Galway specialist, all roads most likely lead back to the festival later in the summer. With that in mind, he will be worth watching here to see how well he jumps on this fourth chasing start.

Fightfortheroses is interesting on his return from a break. The six-year-old had some smart hurdles form earlier in his career before losing his way somewhat. All of his best runs have come on decent ground, which he encounters for the first time in ages now. Add in the fact he has previously been placed over hurdles at this track, and a case can easily be made for him.

Western Boy is well-handicapped over fences so has to be considered under Grand National-winning jockey Rachael Blackmore. A very smart horse at his best, he can spring to life at this time of the year.

Mind Your Money sets a fair standard in this finale having run well when fourth in a listed bumper at Fairyhouse. She had previously won on her racecourse debut but those placings were later reversed. Unless there is something special among the newcomers then the daughter of Kayf Tara can finally get a deserved winning bracket.

Memorable Daise will obviously be popular representing a strong team who have traditionally done well with their bumper runners at this venue. Any market support, or lack of it, could prove key when it comes to finding the winner.
