GREANETEEN gave Paul Nicholl’s a 12th win in the Tingle Creek last Saturday as Chacun Pour Soi once again disappointed when travelling to the UK.

However, at every juncture of the respective races, the Grade 1 Henry VIII Novice Chase winner Edwardstone was ahead of the Tingle Creek field.

Taking a view from the last fence with a circuit to run shows Alan King’s gelding would have crossed the line 15-lenghths ahead of Greaneteen (150) with most of the difference achieved from the first of the famous Railway fences.

Edwardstone (159) covered the closing sectional in 95.9 seconds compared to Greanateen 97.2 seconds.

The standout performance over hurdles came in the first race as Constitution Hill (158+) dismantled his field with a performance of a horse who is destined to contest Grade 1 novice hurdles in future assignments.

The overall race time compared to the other two races over course and distance illustrate the ability of Nicky Henderson’s gelding as he was 4.2 seconds faster than the concluding handicap hurdle.

The closing sectional comparison also speaks in favour of the novice who closed from the third last in 88.7 seconds compared to Samarrive (141) who posted 91.6 seconds for the same distance of ground.
