DAVY Russell’s autobiography will be published on October 31st.
Written with Donn McClean, the book covers everything from Davy’s early life in Youghal to his two winning rides on Tiger Roll in the Grand National.
All of Davy’s big wins are covered, including the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, and Davy talks about the devastating blows he experienced through injury.
There’s tales from Davy’s years on the point-to-point scene, his big move to England, his first Cheltenham victory in 2006, his time riding for Michael O’Leary’s Gigginstown House Stud and working with Gordon Elliott, his charity work with Hurling for Cancer Research, and his retirement.
Published by Eriu, the book is priced at £20 for the hardback version.
