SHARON Power of the Irish Horse Welfare Trust has been in touch to say ‘thank you’ to all who supported their recent online charity auction.
Approximately €5,200 was raised which exceeded targets and will help the IHWT look after the 70 horses that are currently stabled at their Co Wicklow base.
A framed photograph of Auguste Rodin complete with one of his shoes fetched €670, and a framed set of Godolphin silks made €200. There were great value packages sold for almost every racecourse in the country, hampers, fuel and a tour of Jessica Harrington’s yard.
Sharon said: “Thanks to everyone who donated items and to all those who placed bids.”
Donations can always be made through the ihwt.ie website and anyone interested in rehoming a young thoroughbred or cob should email info@ihwt.ie for more information.
