CONGRATULATIONS to Nessa Joyce, manager of the Irish European Breeders Fund, on her marriage on Sunday, July 31st to Alan Burns, an agronomist with Brophy Agri in Tullow, Co Carlow.

The wedding took place in Slane, Co Meath in St Patrick’s Church of Ireland and everyone headed to the Conyngham Arms Hotel to toast the couple and have a wonderful party.

Nessa and Alan’s guests included: Shane O’Dwyer and Una Tormey of the ITBA and Kerry Ryan, who has left the ITBA to start her own events company.

Also in attendance were Stephanie Kennedy of Ballylinch Stud, Aidan McGarry of Navan Racecourse, Lynda Fraher from Cork Racecourse, Peter Roe and Gillian Carey of Fairyhouse Racecourse, Jane Davis of Red Mills, and Regina Byrne, AIRO.

“We absolutely lucked out,” said Nessa.

“It rained the day before and the day after but it was a perfect day for us.

“We are both one of six so there were plenty of family supporting us both.”

The couple headed off to Kerry for a few days – you couldn’t find a better place than the kingdom in this glorious sunshine.
