LAURA Birt received a presentation at Navan Races last weekend to mark the end of her time with The Irish Blue Cross Horse Ambulance Service after more than 20 years of service.
The Irish Blue Cross Chief Executive, Chris Conneely said: “Laura has been an absolute stalwart of equine racetrack welfare. Horse Racing Ireland and The Irish Racehorse Trainers Association acknowledged her commitment and contribution on her final day which is a testament to that. For us, Laura has been a wonderful person to work with and a great ambassador for The Irish Blue Cross.”
The Irish Blue Cross provides a horse ambulance service at all racemeetings and some major equestrian sport events.
