Just outside the Arkle Pavilion, you’ll find an outdoor play area complete with a climbing frame, rope-bridge and a slide on a safe, rubber-matted surface. The family-friendly spaces offer the ideal activities to tire out your little ones, out in the fresh air while enjoying a spot of racing yourself. Cheltenham preview
The Cheltenham Preview Day at Navan Racecourse takes place on Saturday, March 11th, with great excitement and anticipation well and truly building for the Festival at Prestbury Park. This meeting offers racegoers a cracking day of top-class Irish racing, including an insightful Cheltenham preview with Barry Geraghty, David Jennings and Tony Keenan from 12 noon for an hour.
The preview is followed by seven exciting National Hunt races, and there are lots of hospitality packages and ticket options available, with live music after racing as standard. What’s not to love about the day?
As most of you will be aware, Navan Racecourse stages both flat and National Hunt racing. On the jumps side, it is home to many top races over hurdles and fences, and is at its busiest in the autumn, winter and early spring.
During the summer the flat takes centre-stage. Navan Racecourse is situated on the outskirts of the town, on the Kingscourt Road. It is a left-handed oval track of one mile and four furlongs, with a testing uphill finish of approximately two furlongs. The track is consistent, wide and fair, often referred to as a good galloping track where the cream always rises to the top.
The Association of Irish Racecourse (AIR) send their very best wishes to Aidan and all the team at Navan Racecourse. For tickets, and all other raceday information and a list of frequently asked questions, go to their website navanracecourse.ie.
