A horse that caught my eye from the weekend action was one that didn’t manage to win, writes Page Fuller.
Terresita never looked happy at Sandown on Saturday in the Novices’ Handicap Chase (15:35) and her jumping let her down from the start. The first two home, went a good gallop in front, and on such a big jumping track as Sandown, her careful jumps over the first few fences caused her to become detached pretty quickly.
In total, her jumping was an -8.28 length disadvantage in comparison to the winner, and an 18.79 length disadvantage compared to the second horse.
She’s only a seven-year-old, and if she can get some more confidence over her obstacles, she will be hard to beat back down in grade again on an easier jumping track.
