Following an inspection on Thursday morning and a further 5mm of rain overnight, the track at Clonmel is unfit for racing. The fixture scheduled for today, Thursday, has been cancelled.
Lorcan Wyer, IHRB clerk of the course at Clonmel said: “Unfortunately with an unfavourable forecast for more heavy rain this afternoon, we have no option but to cancel the meeting scheduled for today.”
Wexford must pass a 7.30am inspection on Friday to see if its meeting on that day can go ahead.
Following a further 16mm of rain since entries, the track at Wexford was described on Wednesday as unfit for racing due to parts of the track being waterlogged.
Paul Moloney, IHRB clerk of the course at Wexford said: "Unfortunately the weather is relentless at the moment and since entries on Monday we’ve had 16mm of rain at Wexford.
“We were heavy on Monday for entries, but following the heavy rain in the last couple of days the track is now waterlogged in places and unfit for racing at present.
“We do have a favourable forecast for today as it is to be mainly dry but after that we are looking at it staying unsettled with the possibility of a further 15mm of rain prior to racing.
“Due to the current conditions and the forecast, we will hold an inspection on Friday morning at 7.30 to determine if Friday’s fixture can go ahead.”

Thursday's Warwick fixture has also been cancelled due to unraceable ground, though Southwell's jumps card has passed a morning inspection.
Friday’s jumps card at Wetherby will also need to survive an inspection to go ahead as there are “multiple areas of standing water/waterlogged ground”.
An inspection will be held at 3pm on Thursday after 7mm of rain fell on Tuesday night and a further 6mm arrived through Wednesday up to 1pm. The forecast for Thursday is mainly dry but another 11mm is forecast for Thursday night.
Kelso are also keeping an eye on the situation ahead of their Premier meeting on Saturday.
A post on social media read: “We are closely monitoring the weather conditions with regard to racing on Saturday. We will be in a better position to assess the impact of today’s rainfall by Thursday morning, when declarations will be made for Saturday’s races.”
