A NOMINATION to Paddington is set to be auctioned at Tattersalls on Monday (December 4th), just before the first ‘Sceptre’ lot (1527), to raise funds for jockey Graham Lee who sustained serious neck and spinal injuries in a fall at Newcastle earlier this month.
“Our partners Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith, George Von Opel and Peter Brant along with everyone here at Coolmore and Ballydoyle wish Graham and his family all the very best,” said Coolmore’s M.V. Magnier.
Paddington (Siyouni), who won four straight Group 1 races in the space of 68 days last summer, will stand his first season at Coolmore at a fee of €55,000.
Big shout out to Tom Dreaper who is giving all gallop fees on Wednesday to Graham Lee fund. Serious industry to pull together.
The Just Giving page set up by Lee’s daughter Amy, in aid of The Injured Jockeys Fund, had raised over £150,000 by Thursday morning. Among those to donate was Tom Dreaper who gave all Wednesday’s gallop fees to the fund.
