Following 45mm of rain overnight and further showers on Saturday afternoon, the track at Cork Racecourse is waterlogged in places and unfit for racing.
With the track currently unfit for racing and an unfavourable forecast, the fixture scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled.
Paul Moloney, IHRB Clerk of the Course at Cork, said: “Following further showers this afternoon, unfortunately the situation at Cork is now worse than earlier today and more parts of the track are now completely waterlogged.
“With further rain forecast this evening and no prospects of enough improvement ahead of racing tomorrow, we have been left with no option but to cancel the fixture scheduled for tomorrow.
“We will liaise with Horse Racing Ireland regarding the possibility of rescheduling this meeting at some time following our Hilly Way Chase fixture on December 8th.”
