SIR,
This is a letter to express our sincere gratitude to the many trainers, riders, owners, neighbours and friends who supported the Graham Lee Gallop Day fundraiser held at Greenogue recently.
Over 115 horses availed of the grass gallop facility and every gallop fee, donation and contribution will go towards providing financial assistance for Graham’s care. The total raised to date is over €10,500.
During Tom Dreaper’s time based in Yorkshire, Graham was a great friend and still is to this day. Graham is always quick to support any young jockeys starting out and so it is our turn to return that goodwill. Since Wednesday, family friend Richie McGrath visited Graham and filled him in on the day and he was blown away by the kindness and generosity; so well done to everyone who played a part. A huge thank you to neighbours Jimmy and Mary Flanagan for their time and efforts, to Tom ‘Chips’ O’Brien and Janet for providing a coffee van free of charge, to Leona Hughes and Emma Richardson from Punchestown for meticulous administration skills and, again, to the trainers and owners who supported the day. Wishing Graham and his family our very best.
Yours etc,
The Dreaper Family.
