DUBLIN racegoers can avail of a new direct bus return service to the Curragh for next weekend’s three-day Guineas Festival, and in fact for all Curragh fixtures this year.
The Expressway service runs from Busaras, calling in at Temple Bar (Wellington Quay), Heuston Station and the Red Cow (Luas). Return tickets are €25 (€18 for under 16s) and single fares are €15. See expressway.ie to reserve your seat.
There is also a free shuttle bus service for those living in Newbridge and Kildare. Supported by Manguard Plus, the service is available on all racedays, commencing with the arrival before the first race and finish an hour after the last meeting, or two hours for the larger festivals.
Buses will leave every 35 minutes (depending on traffic). The shuttle buses will drop off/pick up at the north carparks at the Curragh Racecourse. The Newbridge service calls at the train station and Riverbank Theatre. The Kildare town buses start at the train station and call in at the bus stop in The Square.
