All In The Mind

(P.J. Flynn)

Curragh July 17th

A half-brother to the former Group 1-winning juvenile Zafisio, this colt shaped up nicely on his debut last Saturday when he was beaten less than a length and a half into sixth in an interesting maiden won by John The Baptist.

The 250/1 chance made some nice late progress and showed enough to suggest he will be of interest wherever he turns out next.

Rough Diamond

(E. Lynam)

Curragh July 17th

This lightly raced four-year-old shaped up well on just the sixth outing of his career when he finished sixth in the Scurry Handicap last weekend. He has had to learn quickly after winning his maiden first time out 11 months ago but his last two runs have been quite heartening and would suggest he is a horse with premier handicap potential, while his ability to handle all types of ground is another positive.

Royal Eagle

(Mrs D. Foster)

Curragh July 18th

This newcomer shaped up nicely on her debut last Sunday when taking fourth in a mile-and-a-half maiden. She impressed with the manner in which she got into contention turning for home and this represented a thoroughly encouraging start to her career.

She should be able to win a maiden this summer.

Jungle Junction

(Mrs J. Harrington)

Ballinrobe July 19th

He was never able to work his way into a challenging position in a maiden won by St Clerans on Monday evening but he ran a respectable race in fifth on his first outing for three months.

He could improve sufficiently from this run to take a hand in a chase at Galway next week.

Pierre Lapin

(A. McGuinness)

Naas July 21st

A former winner of the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes, he was having his first run since April and was also making his Irish debut when taking fourth in a conditions race won by Mr Wendell on Wednesday evening.

He finished nicely from off the pace and showed enough to suggest he will be a horse of considerable interest through the second half of the season.
