AUBREY McMahon of Temple Bloodstock has struck a deal with trainer Willie Mullins to syndicate impressive Galway Festival bumper winner My Great Mate. The grey four-year-old Jukebox Jury gelding won on the opening night of this year’s Festival in the colours of his breeder, Jackie Mullins.
Aubrey reported: “Temple Bloodstock aims, through syndication, to target these proven potentially high-class horses and hope they take us to a good level. It is very hard for people with a keen interest in the sport with small budgets to get involved with horses of this calibre.
“Through Temple Bloodstock we want to provide people with the opportunity to get involved in a potentially high-class horse who is proven, and reach for the stars with them.
Son of racehorse owner Luke McMahon, Aubrey rode back-to-back winners of the big amateur riders’ handicap at Galway on Whiskey Sour and Uradel in 2017 and 2018.
